Event Report
On August 13th & 14th the 15th Annual Big Bird event was held at the High Country Flyers Flying field near Kamloops - British Columbia. 23 pilots and 40 planes were registered at the event.
The event was hosted by CD's from Chapters; #540, Fraser Valley - Chris Jones and #563 Thompson - Okanagan - Roly Worsfold with the theme of having a relaxing time focusing on the flyers.
Feature plane at the event was Dave Collis's 40% WACO YMF5 with a Moki 5 cylinder 400cc engine pulling it around. A lot of modellers from the area came to see it fly.
A Big thanks goes out to all the participants and the 50/50 gal with all proceeds going to the "High Country Flyers" RC flying club.
The event featured good pilots, good weather and good times and memories.
Great event everyone had a fun time and the pot luck was delicious. Thank you everyone & High Country for your hospitality.
